 It's one thing to install 8 AV systems in class/lecture halls/conference rooms and quite something else to make them all capable of projecting computer and video images, along with separate sound reinforcement for speech and program sources (CATV, VHS, computers). But that's what NYU needed and that's what they got from Excel Media Systems. We added Crestron Touch Panels for complete remote control of the entire system.

 NYU's media control room is the center of the entire installation. From there, communications with each room allow for video-conferencing and recording utilizing a Picture Tel 4500 codec with a Crestron remote system, capable of controlling 21 cameras and 88 ceiling microphones through the eight rooms! Remember, it only looks like magic. |
